Friday Favorties 1-12-2018

Oh, honey!

Happy Friday, y’all! So, no my Georgia Bulldogs did not win the National Championship earlier this week. And yes, I’m still pretty bummed out about it. If you were rooting for the Dawgs like me, you could probably use a pick-me-up like these great stories! Check them out, and just try to forget.

1. “Monday Bites”

The folks at the office of Patricia A. London, DDS have been making the rounds on the Internet lately for this hilarious video. They do their best to take the fear and anticipation out of a visit to the dentist by having some serious fun with their patients. I am terrified of dentists, but even I might be able to tolerate a visit with these guys!

2. A Principal “Hero”

Principal Chad Caddell at Union Pointe Academy in Kentucky notified his students of a snow day in the best way possible! The world needs more people like this who aren’t afraid to make fools of themselves. After all, you’re never too grown for a snow day!

3. A Paw-fect Match

(Source: Animal Ark)

Animal Ark Rescue here in Columbus, Georgia, is a wonderful animal shelter. It’s even where we adopted our Binx! One particular dog at Animal Ark has gone viral after Miranda Morrison, the Canine Enrichment Coordinator, put his picture on a surprising platform: Tinder. The profile includes some pretty awesome pick-up lines like, “Hello Human, my name is Henry, but you can call me good boy,” “You look quite fetching,” and  “Netflix and nuzzles.” Henry hasn’t found is forever home yet, but I don’t think it will be too much longer before this handsome fella changes his relationship status from “single” to “taken.”

4. Preggo-Bell

Mommy-blogger at Strollers and Stilettos wanted to do something a little different for her maternity photos. An Atlanta Taco Bell proved to be just the right place! Just for future reference, this will most likely be something I will do when we’re ready for kids.

5. Georgia Snow

Image may contain: snow and outdoor

Y’all. My hometown in South Georgia got around 3 inches of snow last week! All the cities in the area completely shut down, and the kids like my brother and sister enjoyed a rare treat! This picture is of a local attraction fittingly titled “The Big House” still decorated for the holidays with snow falling hard around it. What a Hallmark-card-worthy picture!

That’s all, folks. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
